周四德拉•霍亚中学隆重成立（转ring杂志）

在2003年，德拉霍亚曾捐赠100万美元将该校创建于一个临时处所。另外，霍亚还给绿点公立中学捐赠了380万，使得绿点公立中学得以正常运行。经过五年的建设和州财政2600万美元的支持，以德拉•霍亚命名的中学于周四正式成立。
该校位于洛杉矶洛雷纳大街1114号，今年有332位学生毕业，其中72﹪的学生进入大学，功读四年制学位。同时该校也是加利福尼亚州非常优秀的中学，在美国新闻与世界报导所发表的全美中学排名中，位列53位，该排名也得到新闻周刊的认可。

Grand Opening of De La Hoya school Thursday
The ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official grand opening of the permanent Oscar De La Hoya Animo Charter High school is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday.

The school was established at a temporary location in 2003 with a $1 million donation by De La Hoya with another $3.8 million donated to Green Dot Public Schools, which operates public schools in L.A. After five years of construction and $26 million state bond funds, De La Hoya will cut the ribbon to officially open his namesake school.

The school, at 1114 South Lorena St. in Los Angeles, has graduated 332 students with 72 percent going on to four-year universities. It also is a California Distinguished school, ranked No. 53 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, and has been recognized by Newsweek.

De La Hoya has twice delivered the commencement speech at the school.
