楼主;说白了,谁也不会花钱养一些吃干饭的。
Former four division world champion Miguel Cotto (40-5, 33 KOs) of Puerto Rico is being positioned to return to the ring on the date of June 24. The date was revealed by Bryan Perez, head executive of Miguel Cotto Promotions, after having discussions with Miguel's promoter, Roc Nation Sports. "June 24 is the date that Roc Nation has pointed out for Miguel's return. The details of the opponent and the television network is what's missing. But that is the date they have given us," said Perez to Carlos Gonzalez. Cotto has bee out of the ring since November 2015, when he lost a twelve round unanimous decision to Saul "Canelo" Alvarez at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. He was
scheduled to have an HBO Pay-Per-View fight on February 25th in Texas, against James Kirkland. The event was canceled after Kirkland sustained a fractured nose in training camp and withdrew. At the moment, there is no determination on whether or not Cotto will fight on pay-per-view or on regular HBO. As far as the location, several places are being discussed. "As for the possible locations, Roc Nation executives have pointed out that there is a variety available. They talked about New York, Dallas (Texas), Las Vegas and even Orlando (Florida). There are at least four cities available for June 24 although our preference would be New York and that was our request," he said. From the moment his February fight fell out, Cotto has continued the training regime
established by Freddie Roach and Gavin McMillan. The mentioned date gives Cotto enough time to return to Los Angeles, California, to resume his routines under Roach at the Wild Card Boxing Club. "He will have time to complete the needed weeks of preparation. Miguel has continued training, he hasn't lowered his guard and he's remained active with training. The goal is to return to the ring in June to determine the next step. Everything is tied to the plan that has been laid out so that, so perhaps he will have one more fight before the end of 2017," concluded Perez.
