在忙碌了一整天与梅威瑟的宣传和拍摄5月2日的新闻发布会后，帕奎奥在洛杉矶恢复了正常的训练。

帕奎奥的教练罗奇表示，他很满意当前的训练的方式。他要教会帕奎奥如何发现梅威瑟的一些策略。罗奇说；“梅威瑟很善于给对手设置一个陷阱，我们正在努力，要提前发现他的这些伎俩”。

奥斯卡获奖演员，84岁的老牌演员罗伯特·杜瓦尔突然造访帕奎奥的训练营，他表示希望帕奎奥能够击败梅威瑟。

杜瓦尔说；我希望曼尼获胜，虽然弗洛伊德很难对付。我要为曼尼加油。”

根据ABS-CBN新闻的报道，梅威瑟说；我对左撇子的成绩是8-0。但是，帕奎奥是迄今为止我所面临的一个最好的左撇子。

LOS ANGELES, California – Manny Pacquiao ran for several kilometers at the Pan Pacific Park in Los Angeles as he resumed his training, a day after promoting his May 2 fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
He did three sessions of all-out 200-meter sprints, followed by core workouts.
“[We started] in the morning until 10 in the evening. Grabe 15 hours straight kami,” said Pacquiao.
The fighting congressman felt he needed to make up after missing one whole training day. Prior the resumption of his camp, he spent the whole day doing video shoots with Mayweather and guesting in the Jimmy Kimmel Show.
Boxing coach Freddie Roach said he’s happy with the way his fighter is training.
He said he’s teaching Pacquiao how to spot some of Mayweather’s strategies.
“He (Mayweather) just set traps pretty well. You have to recognize when he is setting you in a trap so we're working on that,” said Roach.
The boxing coach has been overseeing Pacquiao’s training despite nursing a bad back. “I have a bulge at my back, the pain comes and goes.”
Pacquiao also got a surprise visit from Academy Award winning actor Robert Duvall.
Duvall said he’s counting on the Filipino to beat Mayweather.
“I hope Manny wins, he's (Floyd) very difficult,” said the 84-year-old actor. “I'm gonna cheer for him.”
Mayweather, meanwhile, said he isn’t afraid of fighting southpaws contrary to Bob Arum’s claim.
“I'm 8-0 against southpaws. But [Pacquiao’s] by far one of the best southpaws I've faced,” said Mayweather. –From a report by Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN

体坛周报(微博)记者朱正光报道 2010年9月的一天，世界拳击理事会（WBC）次中量级现任拳王弗洛伊德·梅威瑟在拉斯维加斯发现女友乔西·哈里斯的手机上有男人发来的短信，而这个人就是NBA(微博)公牛队的后卫C.J.沃特森。梅威瑟吼道：“你们是不是发生了性关系？”哈里斯答道：“是的，我们在一起了。”

据梅威瑟与哈里斯10岁的儿子告诉警察，他看到“爸爸冲向妈妈，骑在她的身上又打又踢”。据透露，梅威瑟还大嚷：“我要杀了你，杀了那个男的，要让你们消失！”事后，哈里斯被送到医院，面部有轻微伤痕，左臂感到疼痛。去年9月9日，警察对拘留梅威瑟，随后他在交纳了3000美元保释金后回家。


自1996年进入职业拳坛，梅威瑟至今42胜0负，26次KO对手，因为脸上干干净净，被人誉为“漂亮男孩”。梅威瑟不仅在拳击场上进攻凶猛善于躲避防守，在现实生活中，他也不逞多让，用一双铁拳来殴打枕边人，这不是梅威瑟首次被控家庭施暴，但以往他都像拳击场上那样腾挪躲闪，将大事化小。

梅威瑟先后和两位女友育有4名孩子，其中哈里斯为他生了3个孩子，但这两位前女友都曾在家中遭到过他的殴打。2002年，梅威瑟被控两项家庭暴力罪和一项殴打他人罪，被判6个月的缓刑、2天在家软禁及48小时社区服务；2004年他又因殴打两名妇女被判1年缓刑、接受心理咨询、罚款1000美元及100小时社区感化工作；2005年接受90天的缓刑。2003年和2005年，哈里斯就曾两度控告梅威瑟对他家庭暴力侵犯。
