梅威瑟知道，5月2日在拉斯维加斯的米高梅大酒店当他面对帕奎奥的时候，他需要找到一个办法解决帕奎奥超常的速度。

梅威瑟已经确定，帕奎奥的速度就是他在拳台上成功的主要原因。不败的美国拳击手认为，如果他能够化解帕奎奥的速度，毫无疑问，他将赢得这场战斗，他打算将帕奎奥做为他四十八个成功的受害者。

梅威瑟说；很多人都做过一些错事，但他们依然能够成功。所以我需要先知道他会做些什么，然后再进行破解。无论他做得有多好，我都会进行一一的化解，迫使他改变打法。我想让自己表现得好一些，让人看起来感觉印象深刻，帕奎奥会给比赛带来兴奋。他是一个很坚实的对手，但也很鲁莽，他会经常犯错误。

Floyd Mayweather knows that he needs to find an almost instant solution to address Manny Pacquiao's extraordinary speed when they collide on May 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mayweather has identified Pacquiao's speed as the reason why the Filipino boxing superstar has been successful in what he does best in the ring.
The unbeaten American boxer believes that if he can neutralize Pacquiao's speed, there is no doubt he will win the fight and count Pacquiao as his 48th victim come fight night.
"A lot of guys do a lot of things wrong, but they are still successful," Mayweather said. "So I want to know what he does right, so I can take that away from him, so I can take that arsenal away from him. What I do, when I'm facing a guy, whatever he does good, I take that away from him, so he has to resort to doing something different," Mayweather said.

Mayweather is also aware that Pacquiao knows nothing in so far as defense is concerned and is also convinced that Pacquiao is one of the most reckless boxers that he will be dealing with in his pro career.
"I just want to look good for myself," he said. "I want to look very impressive. I'm pretty sure he's going to bring his A-game, and it's all about excitement. I got here somehow, some way. He's a solid competitor, but very reckless, and he makes a lot of mistakes," he added.
Mayweather has acknowledged that Pacquiao is a solid competitor but he observed that the eight-division champ makes a lot of mistakes in the ring.
What Mayweather did and is still doing halfway through his preparation for the Pacquiao fight is to identify Pacquiao's flaws and attack the problem from that standpoint in his efforts to find the solution to neutralize his speed.
Seemingly, Mayweather is yet to find an effective way to confront Pacquiao's speed because he has not dealt with any boxer in his 47 pro fights who has the same speed that Pacquiao has.
Mayweather affirmed that Pacquiao is effective because of his speed and once he is successful in neutralizing Pacquiao's speed, Mayweather believes Pacquiao will resort to something else to attack him.
But Mayweather has one full month to find a solution to Pacquiao's speed problem which will give him a difficult time in the ring come fight night.
Hopefully, Mayweather finds a foolproof way to address Pacquiao's speed or he will suffer his first loss in his professional career.
