WBA super middleweight world champion Callum Smith is mulling over several lucrative offers that he's received from promoters in the United States, according to the boxer's trainer and manager Joe Gallagher.
There are several opponents that Smith would like to face, who are affiliated with rival networks.
Smith has long worked with Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport. Hearn has an exclusive deal with streaming service DAZN.
Smith was last seen in the ring back in June, when he demolished Hassan N'Dam as part of the Anthony Joshua vs. Andy Ruiz undercard at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
While parties approaching Smith are not revealed, Gallagher confirms that his man would like to face several big names who are affiliated with Hearn's rivals, Premier Boxing Champions and Top Rank.
Premier Boxing Champions has several super middleweights and light heavyweights in their stable, while Top Rank has three of four light heavyweight champions affiliated with their company.
"Callum has a few lucrative offers on the table. He is considering them because they could lead to big fights. His head has been turned. We're now waiting to see what Eddie can offer Callum. Callum wants big-name US-based fighters like Sergey Kovalev, Canelo, David Benavidez and Caleb Plant," Gallagher said to Sky Sports.
However, Hearn is planning to present a lucrative opportunity for Smith to headline at Liverpool's stadium in his home city.
"We are planning Callum's next fight for October time before a huge fight in the spring, most likely at Anfield," Hearn told Sky Sports.
"Obviously in signing Billy Joe Saunders we have the perfect opponent for a huge domestic fight but Callum is also in the mix for all the big names on DAZN including Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin."
