        A few days from now, the fight week for the Mayweather vs Cotto bout will start. Two of the best boxers in the world will collide for the first time on May 5 at the luxurious MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Floyd Mayweather Jr (42-0) and Miguel Cotto (37-2) are now on the final stretch of their training camp. The two pugilists are now in full throttle of their training so they can give the boxing devotees a good fight.

        Miguel Cotto, who trains with Pedro Diaz after he separated with his previous coach Emanuel Steward, is now ready for action. He will defend his WBA (World Boxing Association) Light Middleweight crown against the undefeated American boxing icon, who resides in the Entertainment Capital of the World. This will only be the second time Floyd Mayweather Jr climb up at the Light Middleweight Division. His first fight in this weight class against Oscar de la Hoya ended in a controversial split decision victory in favor of him. His mega-bout against Filipino boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao did not happen because of the disagreement in the money split and the blood testing issue. Mayweather decided to go against another champion at a higher weight class because he believes it will be a tough fight for him and fans will continue to love him, win or loss.

This match is very intriguing because of the different styles the two boxers possess. The Puerto Rican will have the size and power advantage while Floyd will have an edge in terms of speed and ring intelligence.
