Hurd jabs and moves and finds himself on the ropes within the opening 20 seconds. Hurd jabs and moves again but walks himself back to another corner. Resendiz feints and throws. Chopping right hand lands over the top for Resendiz, who is mauling Hurd a little early. Resendiz stalks and misses a right but lands a left hook. Resendize gets warned for leaping in with his head, but luckily he misses. Hard left lands to the body for Resendiz.

Hurd jabs but doesn't land it. Hurd jabs a couple more times and makes better contact this time around. Resendiz jabs and then lands a hook to the body. Left hand lands up top for Hurd. Jab lands clean for Hurd and Resendiz lands a jab in return. Hurd lands the uppercut back down to the body, then a short combination up top. Uppercut lands to the body for Hurd, then one to the chin. Right hook lands for Hurd on the inside, Resendiz wants to respond. Two more land for Hurd up top but I haven't seen anything noticeably hurt Resendiz thus far. Right hand lead scores for Resendiz. Hurd digging back down to the body with uppercuts. Left hook from Hurd beats Resendiz to the head.

Resendiz lands an uppercut to the body. Resendiz clearly the better conditioned fighter here and he's maintained a pretty impressive pace throughout. Left hook lands hard to the body for Hurd, then a right, then another one that has the referee stepping in to ask him to keep them up. Resendiz continues to throw both hands at a pace Hurd can't keep up with even though he is landing his share of punches. Two more clean shots land well for Resendiz. Both fighters trade and land hooks at center ring. 1300 combined punches and counting.
