Right hook from Richards lands on Buatsi's head. Buatsi responds with a high-low jab. Trading three punch combos, Buatsi landing more but Richards landing harder. Halfway through the round, and we've spent all of it in the middle of the ring taking turns with sharp combinations. Richards tries a left hook, Buatsi catches it with his glove. A right hook from Richards lands better. Tied up a bit, and both men throwing to the body. Two hard shots land from Richards, but Buatsi still sharp and advancing. That late two punch combo from Richards may have claimed the round.

Richards leading the dance to start this round, but Buatsi counters and staggers him a bit! Richards stumbles backwards, but off balance, not really hurt. Both men land jabs, Buatsi throws a hook that Richards slips. Now Richards on the ropes, and he can't slip these hooks. Buatsi with a power punch flurry, but Richards escapes. Buatsi taking a bit of a breather, but still has his timing and disrupts an attack from Richards. Richards whiffs on a left hook at the bell.

Both men look sharp, but Buatsi doing a bit more. And just as I say that, Richards puts him on the ropes and lands a hard shot to the body. Low? Ref thinks it was low, and takes a moment to discuss proper cup check protocol with Richards. Both men snap jabs while circling left. Getting sloppy now, tangled up. Now Richards exits a tangle with some hard hooks! Buatsi looks staggered! He's trying to hold on, but now Buatsi firing back! Buatsi wounded but throwing hard! Buatsi stumbles after the bell rings, but Richards a bit wobbly too!

Buatsi now with a pair of uppercuts to the chin of Richards. Buatsi once again covering an eye and trying to clear his nose? Might have some damage from what Richards landed in the last round. Buatsi tries to close strong, but can't find the target.
